I was born in Taiwan, grew up in Hong Kong, educated in the US and finally settled in Vancouver, Canada.  My birthpace is located at the foothills of Yangmingshan (formerly known as Grass Mountain), Taipei.  Hence, the words ‘Grass Mountain’ become my trade name.

During my college years in the US while majoring in Mechanical Engineering, I took a number of sketching courses as electives to fulfill my interests in Fine Arts.  After graduation from college, I started studying pottery under the guidance of a Korean potter who, for the past ten years, has taught me various pottery techniques including throwing, trimming, molding, carving, sculpting, bisque and glaze firing, and, last but not least, the knowledge and method of formulating and testing new glaze.  Since then, I have become intensively interested in pottery making.

In 2010, I setup my own pottery studio and focus on creating my own style, design and the glaze formulas I have today.  My artworks have been shown in group exhibitions at Place des Arts in Coquitlam, Port Moody Arts Centre and Leigh Square Arts Centre in Port Coquitlam.
