I was born in Taiwan, grew up in Hong Kong, educated in the US and finally settled in Canada. My birthplace is located at the foothills of Yangmingshan (formerly known as Grass Mountain) in Taipei. Hence, the words 'Grass Mountain' become my trade name.
I fell quickly in love when I first saw art pieces produced by a Korean potter who immigrated to Vancouver in 2003.
Several years later, I left my software engineering career to pursue my passion in making pottery. I love to explore new glaze formulas and started my home-based studio focusing on my own styles and designs.
The key feature of my work is hard-carved patterns. Every piece is inspired by the rich Asian culture of my childhood and the much-loved nature surrounding me in British Columbia.
My pottery have been shown in exhibitions at Place des Arts in Coquitlam, the Port Moody Arts Centre and the Leigh Square Arts Centre in Port Coquitlam.
